Public Policy
Offered jointly by the Department of Economics and the Department of Politics and International Relations, our interdisciplinary degree in Public Policy uses insights from both areas to develop policymaking skills.
At the ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø, we’ll equip you with knowledge of developments in the global economy and how these are linked with political changes at the national and international level.
We have a strong focus on applied research with an emphasis on the policy implications and you’ll have the opportunity to specialise in the economics and/or politics aspects of public policy.
In the Department of Politics and International Relations, 97% of our research outputs are rated world leading or internationally excellent, meaning that the ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø is 6th in the UK for research outputs. (Times Higher Education analysis of the latest REF 2021 – Politics and International Studies, when scoring by GPA Output)
For Economics, 100% of our research impact has been classed outstanding or very considerable. (REF 2021, combining 4* and 3* submissions – Business and Management Studies, and Anthropology and Development Studies)
