Chengcheng Cui chose to study a master's in Computer Science at ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø because it covered many different types of technology. The modules included Big Data Analytics, Cloud Computing and Data Mining, as well as a master's project.
Chengcheng studied his computing undergraduate degree at Imperial College London. He then spent a year working in industry – completing internships at Barclays Investment Bank and M&G Investments – before coming to ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø.Big Data Analytics was the most interesting part of the master's degree for Chengcheng. He found it particularly useful as it involves "cutting-edge" technology and employers are especially interested in this area.
"Cloud computing was another of my favourite topics. I learned how to use distributive systems and got hands-on experience using Hadoop."
