School Visits

Since the very popular first visit by Aldrynton Primary School in the summer of 2013, the herbarium and it's staff are very keen to increase the number of visits to our site, in order to share the wonderful specimens we have here on campus.

The visits include study of flora on campus, carnivorous plants, a trip around our tropical greenhouse, and of course, some select specimens from our extensive herbarium collections.

The children and staff recieve a full safety introduction before each visit, as some of our specimens have sharp spines, some leaves have sharp edges, and our hot chilli is very hot!

Enquiries about timings and health and safety can be made by contacting our Community Relations Manager, Sarah Gardner.
