NUIST Programme Coordinator
I am the Programme Coordinator for the NUIST ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø Academy based in Nanjing, China. As of September 2018, the partnership with NUIST entered a new phase with the students being taught at NUIST, whilst being fully enrolled UoR students.
Areas of interest
- I graduated from the ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø in 2007 with a BA in German and Linguistics, during which time I spent a year teaching English in Nordhausen, Germany. Throughout my studies and after graduating, I worked in hospitality as a restaurant manager for many years before joining the ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø as a member of staff in June 2015. I started as an administrative assistant and in May 2016 I became a Programme Administrator with responsibility for the Academic English Programme (AEP) and its hundreds of students. In October 2016 I took on administration for the Pre-sessional English Programme (PSE) dealing with over 1000 students per year. In August 2018 I took on the role of NUIST Programme Coordinator.
- I enjoy baking, exploring London, running, travelling, vintage fairs, board games, and quizzes.
Research projects
Active Projects:
- I organise and carry out the coordination and administration processes related to the NUIST ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø Academy. This role involves liaising with the programme directors within UoR and colleagues at NUIST, assisting in examination processes, creating and updating student literature, and communicating with colleagues across the university to ensure a smooth student process.
- I am the secretary for the NUIST Stakeholders Meetings, NUIST Programme Directors Meeting and the NUIST Project Board. I also update areas of the ISLI website, run ISLI's Instagram page, and was a member of the of the Media and Marketing Materials Committee (now defunct).
