Areas of interest

  • Having worked as a Lecturer for 5 years in Chinese HE, I came to the UK to pursue my doctoral study. I then stayed on to set up and develop professional development programmes at the University for teachers of English and managers from schools and universities in China. I am also actively involved with the Universities' transnational education (TNE) programmes, e.g. MA English Language Education (in Guangdong) between the IoE and the Faculty of English Language and Culture of GDUFS, and the NUIST- ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø Academy (a joint institute between the UoR and Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology).

Research projects

A study into the oral learning environment experienced by students undertaking practical classes as part of a transnational educational (TNE) programme (ISLI-Chemistry joint research project funded by the International Development Fund of the UoR).
