My main responsibilities include lecturing in English for Academic Purposes at the International Study and Language Institute at the ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø and transnational education provision, predominantly in the form of convening or co-convening the English for Specific Academic Purposes modules offered at the NUIST-ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø Academy in Nanjing, China.
Areas of interest
My main areas of scholarly interest and activity include perceptions, practices, conceptualisations, and cross-cultural comparisons of formative evaluation and feedback in higher education, and academic writing.Background
I have taught General and Academic English, primarily in higher education, since 2007 in China (Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China) and the U.K. (The University of Edinburgh, University for the Creative Arts). I have worked in a number of academic roles, including Lecturer / Teaching Fellow, MA Supervisor, Personal Tutor (pastoral), and Foundation Lead. I have been working for the ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø as a Lecturer in English for Academic Purposes (TNE) since 2024.Academic qualifications
