Assessing Long-Term Contracts’ Impact on Net Zero Construction Projects

This research aims to assess the long-term contracts for attaining net-zero goals in mega projects, identifying how incentives and stakeholder relationships, basically client and contractor relationships, influence the net-zero outcomes over the project life cycle.

Background

I hold a BSc in Civil Engineering from Al-Nahrain University (Iraq- Baghdad) and an MSc in Project Management in Construction from the University of Salford (Manchester). My MSc dissertation focused on analysing the differences between standard forms of contracts— JCT, FIDIC, and NEC—specifically concerning delays, final accounts, and change orders. Prior to pursuing my PhD, I gained several years of experience in the oil industry. My key areas of interest include construction management, innovative design, and eco-friendly solutions, with a research focus on project management, sustainable design, and stakeholder
