Module Convenor: Global Justice (PO3GLJ)

Building location

Edith Morley

Areas of interest

My research interests lie in contemporary political theory. I am particularly interested in the ethics of migration, issues in global justice, and theories of discrimination.

My book project, under contract at Oxford University Press, examines how borders are open for some and closed for others. It explores the morality of common criteria for the admission or exclusion of immigrants, such as economic contribution, national security, and integration potential. The book shows that we gain crucial insights for our understanding of the ethics of migration and global justice more generally by considering the ways in which borders are open and closed selectively, rather than simply open or closed.

Postgraduate supervision

I am interested in supervising students working in contemporary political theory, especially on topics related to global justice.
