Dr Bisset welcomes proposals from prospective doctoral students with an interest in transitional justice, international criminal law, international human rights law and international children's rights.

Background
Dr Alison Bisset is Associate Professor in International Human Rights Law at the ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø, School of Law, where she is also the School's Director of Enterprise.
Dr Bisset researches on transitional justice, with a particular focus on the work of truth commissions. She is the author of Truth Commissions and Criminal Courts (Cambridge University Press, 2012, paperback 2014), which won the 2013 ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø Research Endowment Trust Fund prize for best faculty output and was shortlisted for the 2013 Birks prize for outstanding legal scholarship.
Dr Bisset has advised government departments, intergovernmental organisations, national armed forces, and civil society bodies on issues relating to international criminal law and transitional justice. She is the editor (2014-) of Blackstone's International Human Rights Documents, published by Oxford University Press.
