Transformative research enhancing our understanding of language and society

As linguists we know how much language, identity, cultural awareness, conflict resolution, and social justice are deeply connected. As a community of researchers, we are fully committed not only to investigating global challenges, but also to informing political and public debate on potential responses, and advocating for policy change.

Our shared goal is to better understand complex socio-cultural dynamics in different linguistic and cultural settings and have an influence on the agenda of stakeholders and policy makers. Our research engages with global and very current issues and has already had an impact on the wider academic community, civil society organisations, and transnational institutions.
