Areas of interest
I am interested in research on Teaching, learning and engagement at university level, international trade theory and policies, Globalisation and sustainable development.Background
I am an experienced teacher with an extensive administrative experience at university level as Curriculum Leader in Business and Economics, Module Coordinator, Dean of the Faculty of Management and Commerce (Business School), Head of Department of Commerce, Course Coordinator of various degree programmes and M.SC. (post-graduate degree) programme Coordinator.
I also have substantial post-doctoral research experience with main research focus on the regional integration. My recent trade policy research on South Asian regional integration has over 33 citations by international researchers and scholars and has been well recognised at many international research forums and conferences: MIT International Review Spring 2008, CPD Occasional Paper series 61, CSGR working paper no 218/07, German Development Institute’s discussion paper 11/2009, Commonwealth Secretariat, Asia-Pacific Trade Economists’ conference ESCAP, State Bank of Pakistan Annual Report 2005, and SBP working paper series 23/2008.
