Areas of interest

  • Wage gaps and socio-economic integration of minority groups
  • Unemployment and on-the-job search

Postgraduate supervision

I am interested in supervising empirical research on various aspects of internal and international migration, integration of migrants, wage and employment differentials across groups (e.g. by country of birth, ethnicity or disability), unemployment and on-the-job search.

Background

I am an applied economist with a background in regional science and labour economics. My research focuses on inequality in labour market outcomes by gender, ethnicity, and disability. I am also interested in determinants and effects of unemployment and on-the-job search, as well as retirement. Before joining the ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø in 2016, I was Research Fellow at the Institute for Social and Economic Research at the University of Essex.

Academic qualifications

I earned my PhD in Economics from the Vrije Universiteit (Amsterdam, the Netherlands) in 2005
