Throughout your studies, you will benefit from an extensive range of facilities within the School of Agriculture, Policy and Development.

You'll have access to our farm animal research facilities at the Centre for Dairy Research (CEDAR) and the Meat and Growth Research Unit (MGRU) for projects and practicals, enabling you to see animal science in practice and become well-acquainted with real-world animal production research.

As well as interacting with animals, you'll gain experience of various biochemical and microbiological analysis techniques in our suite of specialist laboratories.

Our farms

The University has considerable land-based resources in the ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø area, with approximately 800 hectares of mixed farming lands and woodlands spread throughout the surrounding areas of Arborfield, Shinfield and Sonning.

Located at the University's Arborfield farm, the Centre for Dairy Research (CEDAR) is a unique facility for applied and strategic large animal research. CEDAR is also home to our Meat and and Growth Research Unit.

Our main campus is set on 130 hectares of beautiful parkland, so you'll find plenty of places to relax. Our campus is home to a thriving community and features the Students' Union, Library and places to eat.
