Postgraduate supervision

I am keen to hear from students wishing to conduct research addressing the impact of vulnerability reduction on political participation, the relationship between religion and politics, and the politics of climate protection. My research focuses on the politics of non-Western regions, but I would be happy to consider good proposals with a different regional specialism.

Background

Broadly, my research lies at the intersection between comparative political behaviour and public policy. As a first-generation, non-white scholar from the Global South, my work (teaching and research) is driven by my interest in promoting social, political, and economic development. Before joining ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Research Group in Political Economy and Development (University of Zurich, UZH). I completed my postgraduate studies at the UZH and the University of São Paulo (USP). I hold a BA in social sciences from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), Brazil, where I started my journey in science.
