Arts & Humanities in top 100 in QS subject rankings

The ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø continues to feature among the top universities in the world in the , published yesterday (10 April 2024).
At broad subject level, the University’s Arts & Humanities activities score highly in all measures, putting ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø into the global top 100 (joint 91) for this subject grouping, rising to 19 in the UK. Other broad subject groups have also seen improvements:
• Social Sciences and Management: joint 183 – up from joint 261 
• Engineering & Technology: joint 337 – up from joint 396 
• Life Sciences & Medicine: 321 – up from joint 348 
At specific subject level, the University is ranked in 23 tables. Agriculture & Forestry and Earth & Marine Sciences are ranked in the top 50 in the world, with Environmental Sciences, Archaeology, and Architecture/Built Environment, all ranked in the top 100.
In Agriculture, ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø is the top ranked UK institution after Oxford and Cambridge and is 10th highest ranked UK institution for Earth & Marine Sciences. ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø continues to see improvements in rankings for Computer Science, Art & Design, Business & Management, and Modern Languages.
Professor Robert Van de Noort, Vice-Chancellor of the ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø, said: “ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø’s global reputation for excellence is well deserved, in subjects that have been an established part of life here for more than a century – such as Agriculture – as well as in subjects with increasing relevance such as Computer Science and Management Studies.
