Study at host institution, for students following the Study Abroad option in Part 2.
The aim of this module is to give youÌýthe chance to broaden your learning and enhance your intercultural skills by experiencing the teaching and learning of film, theatre and/or television in a different culture. Depending on the programme offered by the host institution, it may also allow you to study aspects of cultural media that are not taught at ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø.
Aims:
The aim of this module is to give BA Film, BA Theatre and BA Film & Theatre students the chance to broaden their learning and enhance their intercultural skills by experiencing the teaching and learning of film, theatre and/or television in a different culture. Depending on the programme offered by the host institution, it may also allow them to study aspects of cultural media that are not taught at ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø.

Develop foreign language skills and experience life in another culture.

Students will choose modules with their host institution with a combined value of 10 credits (5 ECTS credits).

To be decided by the host institution. Final module marks will be converted and the final module mark will be an average of these marks. It is likely that the module will comprise 100% coursework but this will depend on the modules chosen at the host institution.
Formative assessment methods:
Penalties for late submission:
The Support Centres will apply the following penalties for work submitted late:
- where the piece of work is submitted after the original deadline (or any formally agreed extension to the deadline): 10% of the total marks available for that piece of work will be deducted from the mark for each working day (or part thereof) following the deadline up to a total of five working days;
- where the piece of work is submitted more than five working days after the original deadline (or any formally agreed extension to the deadline): a mark of zero will be recorded.
You are strongly advised to ensure that coursework is submitted by the relevant deadline. You should note that it is advisable to submit work in an unfinished state rather than to fail to submit any work.
Assessment requirements for a pass:
An overall mark of 40% or more.

Submission of additional coursework.
