Summary module description:

This module provides the learning opportunities through site visits and seminar provided by external speakers. ÌýHealth and safety issues will be included in the module contents. The module will also provide experimental practice.


Aims:

The aim is to provide holistic approach to deliver sustainable buildings. Students will also be trained in experimental skills. Students will be required to grasp the knowledge of health and safety issues in engineering practice.


Assessable learning outcomes:

On successful completion of this module, students will be able to:




  • Understand health and safety issues

  • Conduct experiments and data collection

  • Present the work to audience


Additional outcomes:


  • Students should be able to work within a team and present the outcome to audience.

  • Experiments ( methods and practice)

  • Data analysis

  • Presentation

Lectures, seminars, tutorials, site visits, lab experiments, computer simulations and coursework practice.
