How to select your modules
You can find the list of optional modules by logging into and selecting the 'information' tab, then 'Programmes and Modules' and 'Your module selection information'
If you have not been able to complete your module selection on by the given deadline, please follow these instructions.
Compulsory modules for your programme of study will be assigned to your student record automatically. You will need to select your optional modules and let us know your choices at moduleselection@reading.ac.uk as soon as possible. Full modules are added to the list below.
Please select your modules in a timely way, to avoid: timetable clashes (where timetables have already been scheduled); missing any lectures, practical's or assessments (if the Semester has started); missing out on places for modules which have restricted numbers.
Follow these steps If you have not yet made your selection, or need to make changes:
1. Check to see what optional modules are available on your programme of study. You can find the list of optional modules by logging into and selecting the 'information' tab, then 'Programmes and Modules' and 'Your module selection information'
2. View information about modules: Module Descriptions.
3. Full modules, with restricted numbers are added to the list below.
4. Select your optional modules from the list on . Please make sure that you follow any of the pre or co-requisites for any modules you have selected, as well as your specific programme requirements: .
5. You can speak to your Programme Director or Academic Tutor for guidance on which modules to choose.
6. Check your timetable to make sure there are no timetable clashes for your selected modules.
7. Email moduleselection@reading.ac.uk using your university email account OR respond to any email you have received from the module selection team. Please include the module codes and titles of modules you have selected.
8. The module selection teams will process your request and will email you to confirm that your selection has been added to your record. Please look out for this email.
