What is Thrive?
Getting involved provides you with support, collaboration, and guidance with a successful professional. With mentor and mentee meeting for a minimum of 1 hour per month, typically for 3 – 9 months, but sometimes less.
What do you get out of Thrive?
Each mentoring partnership is different, but we see a mixture of the following:
- Building/refining your CV
- Workplace visits
- Discussing potential job options
- Applications for internships and work experience
- Gaining clarity about the type of roles available in different sectors
- And more…
All mentors are volunteers and want to support you whilst you explore your options, grow in confidence, and open yourself up to the different opportunities having a Thrive mentor can offer. In the past, we’ve seen students secure internships and work experience with their mentor’s companies, gain more knowledge about the type of role they might be suited to and build their networking skills in ways that benefit them and their future.
You can read some of these stories and see what past students have said about the programme by visiting our ‘What our students say’ page.
