Starting a ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø alumni group
What's involved?
Each group has an organising committee made up of alumni volunteers who act as ambassadors of the University. Groups tend to meet a few times throughout the year to plan upcoming activity. Alumni groups hold social meetings as well as working in partnership with the Alumni and Supporter Engagement Office to organise support for student recruitment and professional networking events.Benefits of being involved
Being involved in an alumni group will help you stay connected to the University and you’ll be able to shape local alumni activity whilst giving back by sharing your experience, knowledge, and expertise. It can also be fun socially, helping you to stay in touch with friends and meet fellow alumni who share a common bond.
How to get involved
We currently have alumni groups in:
- China (Beijing and Shanghai)
- Hong Kong
- Malaysia
- Singapore
- Nigeria
- USA (New York)
- Greece.
If you would like to join an existing group or would like to set up a new alumni group, please complete and our team will talk you through the process. If you are interested in starting a new group, we'll let you know how many alumni live in your area, and if there is a good number we can help you recruit other volunteers.
You can also email us at alumni@reading.ac.uk if you have any additional questions.
